Regional Vice President, Property Management

Location: Denver, CO

Position Description: 

Property Management firm is looking for a Regional Vice President who is responsible for effectively setting strategy, goals, and objectives for the assigned region’s properties. This position will also assist the VP of Property Operations and/or other leadership with special projects as needed. Exhibits strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customer. Represents the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Prepares annual budgets and financials for each community within the region, review monthly financial statements, budgetary concerns, financial issues, and ensure communities stay within budget guidelines.

  • Hires, trains, supervises, develops, and leads a team of Area VPs/Regional Managers in accordance with company policies, procedures, and directives; conducts performance evaluations on supervised employees.

  • Conducts regular review of portfolio performance; identifying red flag properties proposing recommendations for improvements and monitoring progress toward established goals and objectives. Conducts regular ops review to monitor and ensure the success of each asset along with Area VP/Regional Managers; implement strategies that will enhance overall performance and profitability.

  • Maintains an awareness and understanding of the goals of the company and work to enhance its overall image and presence in the market; remains current on local, state and federal issues; recommends and develops policies/procedures to align with the organization’s strategic direction.

  • Provides assistance/strategic direction with acquisitions and disposition of properties.

  • Coordinates with appropriate team members in identifying and analyzing capital expenditure programs, and communicates relevant items with investors.

  • Regularly monitors service level standards, Benchmarks and KPI’s, to ensure optimal performance results.

  • Maintain vendor/contractor communications concerning work scheduling, billings, and vendor relations. Researches and develops relationships with new vendors and suppliers of services and nurtures current relationships with vendors.

 

Minimum Qualifications/Skills: 

  • Previous Property Management experience required

  • Proven leadership/mentoring skills

  • Professional appearance and demeanor

  • Experience in preparing/analyzing financial data, budgets and market surveys

  • Knowledge of property management software (Yardi Voyager and Yieldstar a plus)

  • Strong computer technology skills and proficient in MS Office Outlook/Word/Excel

  • Ability to travel up to 50% or as needed

  • A valid driver’s license may be required

  • A positive, motivating and team-oriented attitude

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment

  • Ability to work with a diverse group pf people and customers

Desired Qualifications/Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Management preferred or equivalent Multifamily experience.

  • CAM/CAPS Licensed Property Manager preferred
